Trip Highlights – July 22-26, 2018
Experience the food of Scandinavia and meet your fellow explorers at a welcome dinner Sunday evening. On Monday and Tuesday visit and hear from innovators in six of Finland’s most innovative companies. Enjoy the history of a city founded in 1550 that today is the capital of Finland and ranks number 2 on Nestpick’s list of best startup cities in the world, number 3 on the European Innovation Scoreboard 2017, and Number 3 on Nesta’s list for the top tech cities in 2017. On Tuesday afternoon, depart Helsinki by ferry to Tallinn, Estonia.
Estonia is a must visit for serious innovators, having been called by WIRED “The most advanced digital society in the world”. Applications include e-Health, e-Tax, Digital ID, i-Voting, and even e-Residency. On Wednesday and Thursday, we will visit with government officials and leaders responsible for the transformation of this former Soviet state and go behind the scenes of agencies and innovative companies creating the future of the digital world. Thursday evening, we will close the expedition with a return trip by ferry to Helsinki.

Michelle Greenwald has developed and led innovation tours globally. She is a former Sr. VP at Disney, Sr. VP at Mattel, and VP and General Manager at Pepsi-Cola. She has taught at Columbia University Graduate School of Business, Wharton Graduate School of Business, Berkley Haas School of Management and IESE – Barcelona and NYC Grad. School of Business.
Since 2014, she has been a Forbes innovation blogger, and is the author of Catalyzing Innovation.
