Arthur has a proven track record of results as Chief Executive Officer in hospitals and some of the largest corporate health systems in the United States.  His experience includes the for-profit, private not-for-profit, and public health care sectors in the states of California, Texas, Tennessee, Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota and Louisiana. Most recently, he was CEO of Denver Health, a large public hospital authority where he retired in June 2016.​

He has been a healthcare executive for 44 years. Art is board certified in healthcare management by the American College of Healthcare Executives, and is currently the CEO of AG Healthcare Advisory Group, Inc.​

He has served as a professional consultant to several large multi-hospital systems and private corporations in corporate/field relations, improving operating performance, clinical quality improvement and Lean production methods.  Art has also served on a variety of professional, civic, boards, commissions, academic committees, and policy groups.​

Art has extensive experience in public speaking for hospitals, health systems, professional groups, state hospital associations, universities, and community organizations.  He has served as graduate school adjunct faculty at the University of Arizona, and currently, The University of Texas at Arlington.  He has also taught a Lean leadership principles workshop at Belmont University, Nashville, TN.​

Art earned a Doctor of Public Health degree with an emphasis in Health Services Organization and Administration from the University of Texas, a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University and a Bachelor of Arts  degree from St. Mary’s University.
